HRD started as a small event for HR directors in Edinburgh in 2005, eventually becoming the #1 meeting place for people leaders across the UK. In 2013, the brand was launched in Europe with the flagship HR Directors Summit taking place in Amsterdam each summer. HRD’s proposition to other events in the market is its best-in-class content developed by a carefully selected advisory board and delivered by true trailblazers in every area of people leadership. In 2017, HRD re-branded and launched a publication called HRD Connect that became the place to experience HRD year-round. When COVID hit in 2020, HRD accelerated its digital offering, removing face-to-face events from the portfolio in favor of enhanced digital connections that allowed the global community to meet and co-create the future together.
